Lower Farm Local History

Our school takes its name from the farm that used to own all of the land in our area. Click on this picture to read more about the history of the Lower Farm estate and the farmhouse that was originally here.

The tree that stood at the farm gate is still alive and has been left in its original position. A new road has since been built either side of it. Have a look for yourself – it’s at the bottom of Selman’s Hill.

Did you come to Lower Farm school when you were little?

Which teachers do you remember?

What was life in school like then?

What events / lessons do you especially remember?

Your memories would be a valuable resource for today’s children when they are doing local history projects.
