Minutes of meeting 4/10/05

1.            Welcome – Mr Bolton welcomed the children onto school council and explained what their duties are. He explained that their badges are on order but unfortunately have not arrived in time for this meeting

2.            Assemblies  Mr Bolton checked that the children understand the duties that they have been given to escort younger children out of assembly and back to their classrooms safely. All reps are happy with this duty and reported that it is working well

3.            Healthy Schools training  - Mr Bolton informed the children about the Healthy Schools training that will be coming up for 2 school council reps to go on with Mrs King. Reps complained that the choice of food, if you go last for dinner, is not good and they feel that the rota system is not enough. Reps want a fair choice of food no matter when their turn to go to the counter is. Mr Bolton said that he would ask the cooks to cook more food to enable this. Reps also reported that there is a problem with dirty trays, chairs and tables being left for KS2 after KS1 have used the hall. Mr Bolton said that he would talk to the dinner supervisors about this and see if there is a solution.
