Year 1 and 2

		These children are using numberlines to help them add together 3 coins and find the total value of the coins.
The children are using play money to investigate how many coins can make an amount of money.
		They are encouraged to discuss their ideas.
They often work with an adult, either the teacher or a teaching assistant on practical activities.
