Moon Class are identifying the sounds
that letters of the alphabet make. Children learn the sounds of letters
before the letter names. This is so that they can blend the sounds
together when they are learning to read. |

Each Foundation Stage class has support
from a Teaching Assistant all day. Here she is working with a small group. They are also learning their letter
sounds. Once they know a group of sounds they
will be able to use them to build up words in their own writing. |
