Harvest Festival

Comet Class and the children from the other Year 3 & 4 classes performed a variety of songs and poems for the Harvest Festival.

The stage was full of harvest produce donated by the children and their families.

These were auctioned off at the end of the assembly and the proceeds have been donated to the school’s chosen charity – The Air Ambulance.

The children also performed an acrostic story. It showed how we as a human race need to change the way we behave, so that we look after our world, not pollute it.

They showed us that there are 13 countries around the world that are officially in a state of famine.

They asked us to remember them when we celebrate harvest time.

They also acted out a story about a child befriending an elderly man who lives near him.

He decides to takes some of the harvest produce from his school festival to the old man.

The school hall was full of parents and

friends who came to watch the children and support the auction of harvest produce.

Thanks to everyone involved for an excellent assembly and auction.
