Clubs and special events Walk to School Week |
||
During Walk to School Week, which is
organised by Walsall MBC, the children are encouraged to think about walking
to school as a healthier, more environmentally friendly alternative to using
the car or a bus. They took part in the walk around King
George’s Park in Bloxwich. This event is organised annually to raise
awareness of health and fitness issues and to encourage children to think
about how we can all help to reduce traffic on our roads, and so contribute
towards a reduction in air pollution. The children had great fun doing the
walk and following the trail set by the Park Rangers. They had to find the
answers to clues that the Rangers had set. The whole school took part – Nursery to
Year 6. The park and local area was full of
children walking. It was great to see them taking part with such enthusiasm. |
