Ali Baba and the 40 thieves

The whole school production took place on 23rd, 24th, 26th and 27th March 2004.

We had a full audience on all 4 nights. Many parents would have liked more tickets but unfortunately we could not fit any more people in!

We also invited VIP’s including the Mayor of Walsall. The children wrote letters to invite them to the show and many of them received personal responses, addressed to them, in reply.

The show was very well received by all of the audiences and the children had a great time performing.

Our Art Co-ordinator, Miss Harrison,

Painted all of the backdrops and scenery and made many of the props.

We had a full lighting and sound and many special effects, such as smoke, flashes and strobe lighting.

One of our Year 6 children operated the sound deck for all of the performances and the children also acted as stage hands and front of house staff.

The rest of children took part in dances or had acting roles. The whole school was involved, from the Nursery to Year 6. There were 2 casts.

The children’s enthusiasm and hard work combined to make a magical theatrical experience.
