Citizenship

As part of our citizenship work all classes agree Class Charters. The children discuss the behaviour that they expect from one another and draw up their own Charters. They then sign this to show that they agree with the statement in the charter and will try to behave in the agree ways.

They also learn about democratic elections and how representatives can speak for a group of people at a meeting. They then vote for Council Representatives who go to School Council meetings. They represent the views of their classmates and participate in discussions with other Council members and the Head Teacher and the Deputy Head Teacher.
